I purchased a brand new, NOS DeLuxe Viper case (#9160) from the local music store where I bought my Sunburst Electric Artist over 30 years ago (Ted Brown in Tacoma)...
The case had fallen off their shelve 20 years ago, and had "dorked" the headstock end and busted off the latch. It sat in the warehouse waiting for me to come along and buy it in hopes it would fit one of my Preacher projects (nearing completion!)...
But, alas...it's too sloppy a fit for a Preacher, so I'm offering it to the OFC world 1st, rather than the 'Bay.
I have repaired & reinforced the damage and reattached the broken clasp...there is still some slight indentation from the gravitational de-accelleration and the clasp operates a little stiff, but all in all it's a very sound repair.
It comes complete with the original key, as well as the retail price-tag showing the original list price of $160.00...I paid roughly 1/2 that, and have quite a bit of time & effort on the repair work...I'd like to entertain the best offer over $100 plus the actual cost to ship (UPS ground from 98335)...
I have ample digital photos I can e-mail to anyone who's seriously intersted in an upgrade/replacement. Feel free to check my perfect feedback @ eBay (167 @ 100%) and shoot me your questions and indications of interest (let's keep it in the family!).
Many Mahalos~ Kurt (Mr. G) |

| I sent an E-mail request to you for pics a few days ago, but haven't heard back. Would like to see repair area, body well, and pressure pad in lid. |

| Be sure to check your PMs on this forum. I replied, with my E-mail address. You probably did not get E-mail notification, as the system said the address was rejected. And, my own 2 attempts to get E-mail to you have failed. |

Location: Gig Harbor, Washington | Uh-hum! A Major Clarification...after several light-bulb experiences and conferences with Great & Mighty Warriors of the O'...we have confirmed this case belongs to a modern, Super-Shallow, Chambered-Body VIPER (such as an EA63 & EA68) - rather than the Vintage Solid-Body Viper (#1271).
Thanks for your patient understanding & forgiveness on this technical error on my part...photos and additional details still available, though it'll go to the eBay block very shortly! |
