Hey there,

I've got a friend who wants to sell his (god may know how old) Ovation model 1111-1, it is mint condition, does anyone know about how much it's worth? the original case is included (the case has a couple of scratches)

faithfully

Dylan

Well, I was gonna offer ten bucks for it, but if the case is scratched, forget it.

Seriously, a guitar is 'worth' what someone will pay for it. These days the best way to determine that is to check the auctions such as ebay for completed sales of that model. From that I would say around $200-$300.
Pictures are always helpful, as well.
If you know the serial number you can get an idea of it's manufacture year from the Ovation website, here.

Well Bob (sorry couldn't resist),

Value depends on a few things. Primarily the current market. You might try searching completed listings on ebay to get an approximate figure. If you want to know the age, check the serial number against the list in the reference section on this site.

Rule of thumb for an acoustic only sunburst Balladeer, probably from $200 to $400, depending on age and your interpretation of "mint condition"
