I play standing up and plugged in and my shallow bowl Legend 1867 works great for exactly that purpose.
I've played the 2005 collectors briefly and find them quite comfortable as far as the "tilting" goes...
I haven't played one for a whole band gig...
I hope my next puchase to be an LX Custom Elite Contour bowl. Of course after the recent Hamer Monaco Elite purchase this is months and months away and the factory may have something else for me by then!!
Strictly personal opinion!

Although I personally love the contour bowl, I know that it isn't for everbody. If you like the feel of a wooden box guitar, and you like the face of the guitar sitting perpendicular to the ground, or if you have problems with slippage then you will very much like the contour bowl. If you like the feel of a rounded back and tilting the guitar upward so you can see the fret markers then you will not like the contour bowl.
But contour lover or not, there is no denying that the 2005 and its bling-bling offshoot CLLXCB sound freaking amazing ...
Has anyone taken the dive yet on an CELXCB ??? Although I'm not a multi hole fan, that may be a very nice guitar as well. 'specially in Black.

I gotta see that one. I was looking for a SATQ, but decided to wait for a while. Let me know if you want to get the gang together again. |
