WoW I'm not sure they are for every guitar I have cause I really like the D'Addarios but on the OFC2 they really sing out! Great suggestion Bobbo. I would recommend that everyone who likes to try something new to give them a try on their next string change.

Nice but not the right mix for my ear and gits.

Round wound and compression winding gives them lots of ring and sustain. They are lower tension than a lot of strings ... go with the mediums (13s) and they'll feel like lights. They're not perfect for every guitar but they work real well on most Ovations.

About strings, our bass player suggested that I switch from steel to nickel as a means possibly of reducing some of the snap and pop I sometimes experience through the amp. I still think its static electricity due to Colorado's really dry winter environment and the carpeted riser on which we play. Anybody hear of this before? I'm now spraying the place with water to see if that helps.
