Location: michigan | I have it and I love it. I have had all of the BR products. The MicroBR had to many menus to navigate through. What folks complain about (but I haven't found it to be a limitation ) is you can only go up to a Gigabyte of memory and it is compact flash. I have not filled mine up as of yet, and I bought 3 extra cards for 10 each on ebay (they are hard to find as most stores don't carry 1 gigabyte compact flash). It has really nice drum pads (basically a great drum machine). It also has the GT-6 effects engine. I take it with me on my business trips. I also have a BR-1200 which is my home studio. The BR-1600 is the top of the line. If you need to record 8 inputs at a time, the BR-1600 is tops. What is nice is it is easy to go between the BR products as they have a similar interface. THere are some good youtube demos of the BR-600 on youtube showcasing all of its features. Anyway, don't let the 1 gigabyte limit scare you away. It is a feature packed unit. THe two built in stereo mikes work awsome for live recording |

Location: Yalova/Turkey | I have one too and I like it a lot. Rhoadsscholar is absolutely right about more inputs offered by the higher models, but if you are not interested in live recordings but rather record different tracks one after the other, the BR-600 offers 8 virtual tracks per channel, so you can record some 8 x 8 tracks and mix them together, which is a bit time consuming, but still, the possibility is there... The built in mikes are really quite good for the money and for simple built-ins. |
