Another clue perhaps. Same OP24. Same brown deep bowl. Pics are nowhere near Patch quality but you can get the idea.

Love the look of this guitar. The burst is killer and the abalone… Schwinggg! Don’t have an 87C here to compare it to but it does have a great voice. Found this one in Florida and thanks to G8r, was able to nab it in complete confidence without ever having played it. Came from the original owner who used to live in California. Owner said it was one of ten that his favorite music store there had made for an anniversary and said that Pat Simmons bought one the same day he bought this one. Chance you may have a Doobie guitar there, Patch!

Didn't you have that at the SSSJ, Otto? What a beautiful guitar.

Any idea of the name of the store Otto? Might be worth investigating. ;)

Jack, yup, this is the one I had at SSSJ. She's got a look, doesn't she?

Patch, he told me the name of the store but I sure didn't recognize it and didn't think it important enough at the time to write it down I guess. I do still have the guy's number and I did call but so far he hasn't returned 2 messages. I will post if I hear from him though.

Looks just like my N768, "Brownburst". Not only pretty but a great sounding guitar.

Thanks Otto. I appreciate the effort. I love trying to track down stuff like this.
