...and not just cool R-E-A-L-L-Y freakin' COOL!

Continuing on the gypsy jazz kick...Here's Angelo Debarre playing some frighteningly good guitar with an accordion player who is so good that you could REALLY end up loving the accordion!

Imagine that!

Here it is: ANGELO DEBARRE - LUDOVIC BEIER LIVE STOMPING AT DECCA .

Then, in the same youtube session, I found this: "Dangelo Debarre & Stochelo Rosenberg" Stochelo Rosenberg is the founder of the Rosenberg Trio. He's really, REALLY good too. He and Angelo Debarre together is an unbelievable combo. It's right here: Enjoy!

I like l'accordéoniste by Edith Piaf.

My father had an accordian. He played mostly polka and beer drinking songs on it. Usually during parties where there was much drinking involved. Funny as hell to watch as a kid. But for money, he played sax in a Bossa Nova band. Go figure.

Great story, Bobbo! It's amazing the biographical tidbits that so many are able just to toss off like that.

Would've sounded better with a banjo.

I've been told many times before that I am quite the tosser.

Ther used to be this great show on RFDTV which would broadcast from a polka party every week. Lots of accordions and hopping around. I think most of them were broadcast from Wisconsin.

They eat so much cheese in Wisconsin they widely use the accordion to mask other, unwanted sounds. This then results in a lot of "hopping around" and pointing at other people.

As a Wisconsin native I can verify that beer enhances the effect. Polka was probably invented to go together with the beer and cheese. After drinking beer and eating cheese, you need a dance where you change partners every few seconds.
