An important part of music history. I hope this is the right place to post this.

per the ad......

The sound, while unique in the Adamas/Ovation tradition, is quite powerful and reminiscent of the Guild 512 12 string line

I guess that's suppose to be a compliment.

I saw that on eBay last night. Too bad about the broken epaulet. No wonder they were only asking $42K... ;)

We discussed this last fall or summer...I just haven't done the search...But back then I talked with the owner several times over two weeks on the phone and by email when he had no idea what the guitar was called or the history behind it: I researched the guitar to find out that it was an 1979 Adamas I 1688-9 with a matching 1687-9 6 string...(BTW: The 1688-9 could use a repair: I suggested his getting in-touch w/the MS...not sure if he did...maybe it's worth more with the missing epi piece...I dunno...)

He's a nice guy and is into this guitar for a lot of money (along with his partner)...this is the 4th time it's been offered.
Here is the website:
John Denver\'s Guitars
Cool Info....and some guitars, like this one, are for sale.

Maybe if it survived the crash and had Denver's blood on it (verified by DNA, of course)....
