What...they couldn't find a decent enough band from the good old US of A to play the halftime show at Americas biggest football game??

I wasn't impressed...

Zak did, however, kick ass.

Maybe the UEFA is trying to book The Beach Boys for their event?

BTW. It was a helluva lot better than the trash that MTV ever came up with!

I know, I know. I can feel the same way at times.
They sure aren't like they used to be, but who is?
Recent major local music events have been... Kenny Chesney, Lady Ga Ga, and some rap guy. Even if they are a shadow of what they were, I'd rather get a glimpse some glory days with The Who.

I think I'll go to the bathroom, check out the food, mingle, flirt with the wives, do a shooter or two with the guys, make sure the kids aren't setting the house on fire, flirt some more, and wait for 2nd half kickoff

that's cool, too.
.
can't they find someone not collecting social security?
No. They can't.
I'm sure "they" did the research. If there was a band that from the last 25 years that had better world-wide pull, "they" would use them.
The past 25 years have not created more proven or successful band. And I'm afraid the next 25 years won't either.

I can see it now... the year is 2025. James Cameron makes computer avatars of all the classic rock bands and makes a 4D super concert film. It out grosses his Avatar and wins an Oscar.

LOL. Your favorite Rock Band (as in the game) will be the half time show.
