Well, I"m depressed already, but this is a pretty, pretty song, and that guitar sure is familiar. Geez, I love the violin, too; anything stringed, actually, including spaghetti.

How many of you guys wore tuxedo shirts like that to your prom or wedding, lol ... and the hair ... oh my goodness.

It's still a great song. I saw a newer version of them singing it on an 'unplugged' show, but the singer was getting too carried away with himself, and it wasn't nearly as nice to listen to or watch as this one is, despite the need for the Fashion Police and hair stylists.

(Yes, I'm overdosing on the internet this week, but I'm stuck in the house and it's either this or housework.)

Watch and listen right here

;)

Can't open the vid, it says it's "Blocked in your country".
Hope you get to feeling better.

There was an Early 1619-1 Custom Legend Sunburst on "America's new top Model" yesterday played by a jamaican dude... sounded great, and looked fantastic...

I met Kerry Livgren's family while on the road in Kansas during a '79 tour...very nice folks and his cousin is a wonderful keyboard player...he had worked with Kerry on some of his early songs and gave me some great background on the band. I was using my trusty Pacemaker 1615-4 and a natural top three pickup Les Paul Custom...great times and great memories...

About the tux shirt: guilty! Jr. Prom in HS...Sr Prom myself and 5 friends wore Tux's w/tails and top hats...what a goof but at the time was a great prank...

Yeah Willa... That brings a tear to my eye too.
My hair is falling-out, and I haven't been able to grow it down my back since I cut it in '94. :(
I used to be down to my belt in the back.

And all y\'all outta state people, try this one... Without the vevo ad on it...

Arthur's link is even better because it also shows the other video I was speaking about.

Thank you for posting that, "Artie"!

Willa - this was my prom jacket, which was also used as the band outfit. And yes... it came with the matching shirt.

At least it beats the other guy - he was wearing a lab coat.

Oh, my GAWD is that Dwight Yoakam? I LOVE him! You look SO cute, Mike! And, might I add, VERY COOL.

I am cracking up! I like that much, much more than the ruffled, leisure suit tux look ... whadda ya doing wearin' that cowboy hat you Jersey boy? This Jersey girl is going to pull out her ostrich cowboy kickers today ... if I can remember where I put 'em.

On second thought, I probably shouldn't wear them. I'd most likely fall on my @ss again.

I prefer barefeet anyway ~ in the house, that is. Gonna go practice on my OVATION GUITAR now ... with my hands, not my feet.

Wow! ... With all the "retro" stuff being popular today, you would think everyone would be snatching up all the old Ovation guitars to go along with their tiedye and corny old clothes.

Nice song and one nice guitar. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Willa, going barefoot can be dangerous too. Please watch out for stubbed toes!

Arthur, don't worry about your hair ... does the hair on your back cover it?

Kansas was my favorite band. They were the first live show I ever saw back in 1978 my junoir year.
I took a very "HOT" senior chick, I my band new 1979 camaro. OMG I just realized it might have been the car and not great looks and charm.

Thanks a lot Willa, you just dashed on of my favorite high school memories.
