I am playing a gig where they have an L1 Model II with the Tonematch module. The guy who owns it has offered to put some of the Tonematch presets on it for my guitars for the gig.

Any advice on those of you who have tried different presets? I know there are some specifically set up with the OpPro and the VIP preamps but what about experience with the Optima's and the faithful old OP24?

Also has anyone had experience of a particular patch for 12 string (I'd be using my Adamas II equipped with an Optima).

I know there is a wealth of experience out there and the guy is trying to be very helpful.

The Ovation presets are not included in the T1 but need to be downloaded from the Bose website. Presuming that has been done there are a few presets for the newer preamps only with nothing for the Optima and earlier. I find that the Legend/oppro preset works pretty well with any of the preamps I use live (mostly Optima but also Op24+, Viper and Op50) Don't be afraid to use your ears with the "wrong" preset rather than assuming only the Ovation presets will work. For example I use a Baggs IBeam preset for the magnetic pickup on my Weissenborn. Also, Make sure you access the input gain meters from the preferences menu and set it correctly, it's real easy to clip the input on the T1

Thanks Paul. That is helpful advice. Yeah he already donwloaded the Ovation presets as he has a buddy with an Elite. I should be able to get a couple of hours rehearsal and playtime with it this week.

Interesting what you say about the gain being too hot. I will read the manual tonight from the website and work out how to access those meters.

Anyone else got any favorite pre' they may have tried on the T1?
