Location: Central Massachusetts | If you don't already, you should be following Jol Dantzig's blog, The Designer\'s Workshop ! He and the Hamer crew work out of the New Hardford "factory." Many of us received a tour of the Hamer shop from Jol himself during the last OFC tour. It's a very small shop focused on quality over quantity. His passion, attention to detail, and respect and care for his elite team are evident in every post. Every one of Jol's entries is worth the read if you have any interest in quality guitar craftsmanship.
Here\'s a great story where Jol and his team set up a Gibson guitar from a Seymour Duncan user forum member for free... Great read.
And this article from December 11th talks about using the infamous laser vibrometer to tune the chambering of the Talledega Pro. Wouldn't it be great to have him give a tutorial on reading those Adamas vibrometer plots? |
