Welcome Ganesa!

There are many possibilities...

Are there any shims under the saddle?
If the shims are uneven, or of a soft material, you may not be getting good sound transfer.

It is also possible that the pick-up just needs replacing.

As always... Smarter people will come along.

Ganesa, those are nice guitars. Welcome aboard. Feel free to post pictures....

Each segment of the saddle has it's own piezo pickup, so there are six pickups inside your saddle. If a wire has broken inside there, it could explain the loss of some of the strings.

Replacing the saddle is very simple. There is a wire that runs from it, straight back through to the inside of the guitar. There is a small plug on the end of that wire which is plugged into the back of the preamp module. I believe that there is a round hatch on the back of your guitar with a screw in the center. Loosen the screw and slide the hatch one way, then pull it out a bit as you slide it the other, so that the hatch comes off the back. Don't force it, just slide it and pull gently until it comes off. Then find that wire and unplug it. Remove the strings from your guitar and gently pull the saddle out, gently pushing on the wire if needed. Drop a new saddle in and plug it in.

Alpep at lostartvintage dot com is a top notch dealer who should be able to help you get a new saddle from the factory.

You can upload photos over and the OFC Ning site... Ovation Fan Club.ning

Or you can look here for pointers... How to resize and post photos.
But the "Photo Gallery" in the Member Access on this site does not work any longer.
We now keep all our photos over that the Ning site. But there is still an old Gallery here.

Or you can post your photos on an outside hosting site like Photobucket or Picasso, and then use the Full Reply Form to post here.
