First maple backed guitar I've had and I'm very much loving it. Body size is similar to a Takamine NEX, maybe a tad fatter in the arse. Evidently in the late 80's he helped design several guitars for Collings to build, with Gruhn's name on the peghead. There's a pic and one of them is identical to the SJ... | ||

There were only about 30 of these made. They were very good but they brought about half the amount that a Collings would. I bought mine from Ghrun's shop and I asked why they weren't much money and the answer was the name on the peghead. They were a dread and the SJ type, that's what I had. Nice guitar but a skinny neck. | ||
