Location: Flahdaw | Anyone know anything about, or have, Cocobolo as a fretboard material? Any plus's or minus's?
How about Zebrawood as a tonewood for back and sides? |

I think it'd look really interesting as a fretboard material. |

| Cocobolo is in the rosewood family. Not as dense as ebony, and oilier than the better known rosewoods.
Here's an article discussing zebrawood as a tonewood . Says it's tonally very similar to EIR. |

copied this from wiki
"Care must be used when cutting Cocobolo, as the wood's oils can induce allergic reactions if inhaled or exposed to unprotected skin and eyes. A dust collection system, coupled with the use of personal protective equipment such as respirators, is highly recommended when machining this wood." |
