:) My guitar has arrived from florida to ohio where it is 25 degrees . I would say it lived outside about an hour. It is the textured top so how long before it is safe to open the box and then the case ? Thanks.

If it was mine, I'd leave it in the box in a relatively cool place in the house for a couple of hours. Then a warm place for an hour or so, then open the box and leave it for a while, then take it out. Your T is just as likely to have problems with quick temp. change as any other guitar. BE PATIENT.

You can open the box now. Take the case out of the box in an hour.
Then wait about four hours.
When you first open the case, crack it open enough to stick your hand in there...
If it is still cold inside the case, close the lid and wait another two hours.
Or wait until after supper.

BTW-- Textured-top T's can crack too... And they look ugly when they do.

(Yeah! What BHB said!)

And congratulations on the T!

Hello David,
I am new guy 7556 in Guelph ON. Just send it further North and I can look after the slow motion defrosting for you. As others have said..
Patience is a virtue.
Get it if you can.
Often in a woman.
But seldom in a man.
Congratulations. I'm happy for you, I wish I had these decisions to make.
Jim.

This is amazing lightning fast responses from complete strangers you gotta love it. Unfortunately jimbob after buying the guitar I can no longer afford postage up north darn it. Old Man Arthur that orange flamer was almost the guitar setting here waiting to be opened so if it the bestest guitar in the world I dont want to know. If I got to set here and look at a box I am gonna need a beer.

Add a few shots of Jack to the beer and when you come too it will be time to open the case :)

Hello bauerhillboy,
I just looked at the map of Lake Erie. If you just keep walking North from Warren you will come right to Guelph. Do you still walk on water.? Or is it only in the winter time. HaHa.
Jim.

If it were me, I would wait alot longer than I thought it needed. Padded cases are great insulators. It probably did not travel all of the way in a warm vehicle either so it is probably cool all the way through.

Besides, the time it will take for a shop to fix a cracked top is alot longer than waiting for it to adjust slowly.

Play another guitar, hang out on OFC, take a nap, do something to take your mind off of it.

Been to Guelph. Mostly in winter. Wind will rip your skin off! Other than that, it was a very nice place!

Guitar was just as described . I finally got a chance to really play it this morning and it has a great tone very bassy. This guitar loves being plugged in. I thought I was playing an electric with that neck, super fast. A side note the guitar came packed like it was fine china and had a capo as well as strap just as bonus treasure. Thank you Joe Tunon great transaction.
