I have been using a ZOOM RT 223 machine, and I am very happy with it. However, I ordered the FS-01 footswitch (just wanted to be able to start/stop a song), but it does not seem to work properly. When I select a song I programmed and press the pedal, some other weird song starts.
Any experience out there with Zooms?
Thank you!

I spoke with a ZOOM texh support and he gave me instructions. You have to select a "function" in the RT223 for the switch to work. There are many functions, AND THERE IS NO MANUAL!!
Fortunately, I just need start/stop. |

Location: Miami | Thanks a lot Iffy!! But the problem is that, I have that manual and I do not see anything about the programming of the FS-01 foot switch (I am very nearsighted, so that might be the problem).
Thanks for your effrots anyway!!

Location: Miami | I have noticed a lot of TALENT and SKILLS in finding out stuff in this forum, so here's another question for Rhythm machine users (ZOOM RT 223 or other). Is there a way to backup your songs into a PC or somewhere? I cannot imagine losing hours og programming work if something happens to the unit.

Have you tried Googling for electronic drum machine forums. I did a quick one and found many references. But not being into the genre, I didn't select any for you. Check it out. Ya might have to join a forum or two or three to get your questions answered.
Good luck! |

Location: closely held secret | Foot switch programming instructions begin on page 65, bottom right corner. How to set it for start/stop is on bottom left corner of page 66.
Sorry, the RT223 has no facility for output other than audio, so you can't backup what you have stored on it. It also has no MIDI out (only in), so you can't transfer the MIDI information to a sequencer. |
