Nice job, War Eagle. You must be thrilled that your daughter loves the guitar and will, undoubtedly, have it forever. Hope to hear some recordings from her soon.

Exactly my story, Miles: Blue Chip Stamps, 1968, thirteen or so booklets full. My dad frowned on music, guitars etc. So I started lickin' stamps. I got a nice little steel string just like the one in your pic that I played for FIVE years until I could afford my first Ovation (which I'll take to the gig Thursday!).

My first O was my Dad's 68 DB.
I still have my very first guitar though, a midget nylon-string ultra ukelele.

My daughter said she has dibs on my 88.

I am going to get her and my boy an O for a shared late Christmas present when I get home.

I hope they'll keep with it.

That is an absolutely beautiful guitar. Amazing gift, She's a lucky gal!
