Hello, I recently bought a used Ovation Ultra 1511. It sounds great but there is a bad buzz when it is is plugged in.

I have been told the pre amp is shot. Ovation says a V/T preamp should work in the guitar but they are a 130 bucks.

This guitar has some peeling lamination, and other assorted issues. I do not want to invest too much into it but I want to keep it alive.

Does anyone have a cheap fix idea or an idea where to buy a used preamp?
