Kids live too far away to visit. Took the Ultra GS up to the cabin, but didn't stay inside much. Any weekend that the boat starts is a good one.

Mine was pretty much more awesome than I (or anyone else) has ever had. My son (pebblemax was his handle when he was hanging around here) was successfully transported to Germany after being airlifted out of the war zone and initial medical treatment at Baghram. His brothers and sisters were here and we were all able to talk with him on the phone. We were so relieved to hear that he was able to walk a few steps and everything seems to be working OK. He even had a computer brought to him so that he could have a Facebook message posted to my wall saying Happy Fathers Day. I am the luckiest guy on the planet.

Not a bad day. My new wife and I bought a lawn swing at Lowes. She and my youngest daughter helped me assemble it, then I spent a couple hours rebuilding the rocker panels on my daughters 93 Sable.

Talked to both my kids, one lives in Boston, the other at the beach in San Diego. Talked to my Dad who is also a thousand miles away. Both stepkids were out of town. Spent the day building a new amp tray/dolly, my third generation attempt. Think of it as the bottom of an ATA amp case with slightly higher sides, all surfaces thickly carpeted, and in a universal size that fits every amp I own with or without a little foam padding, mostly without since the amps sit very snug on the carpet secured by the higher sides. It was a good day.

Grilled the biggest Filet Mignons I could find, with baked potatoes, Ceasar salads, and brocolini. Drank some Heinekens and watched the US Open. Actually, pretty much a normal Sunday.

Played two Ovations at church and came home to eat/drink/talk with my three grandsons and 2/3rds of my Daughters. My wife spoiled me and the weather didn't suck.

Moved to SW VA/TN to take charge of a new church...I came early with the wife, kids and all our stuff coming with the movers later in the day...I had some things to do around the new parsonage and afterwards had time to restring the '78 Adamas 6 #119: had a great time playing it and hearing it so clearly (It's Awesome) in a nearly empty house (I had moved all my instruments and gear earlier in the week)...family arrived later that evening and we had Pizza and gave thanks for being together...woke up that morning with the children giving me Fathers Day cards that they had made...getting hugs and "Happy Fathers Day" greetings from the family was so special...yes Jay, every day is Fathers Day!!!
Bobbo, I am so glad to hear that Max is on the recovery road...what a blessing that is!

Awkward and annoying day for me too. Just because someone has an offspring, does not make them a father.
