I was reading the first few pages of the Ovation story book, at Amazon, since it had the "Look Inside !" feature. Since their goal was to match a Martin D-45 ( or some model ), which I'm sure is a popular instrument, how did they end up with a tone that is not always given the best praise ? If it sounded just like the Martin, you'd think it would be well respected.

My guess is a lot of people try out the shallow body guitars , which tend to be the type on music store walls, and complain it has no low end, unplugged.

The folks who complain or judge the loudest are usually those who have never played or heard a good USA Ovation.

Try one, then buy one, then two, three, etc, then the book makes sense to you.
One day I will play a slothead, lucky those who one of these.
Keep reading the book, it gets better and better.

Several of them are in your neck of the woods so keep your eyes and ears open for one of the regional gatherings.

I can't read any further. The amazon preview was only a few pages.
