Unfortunately, I can't pay $4500 or more. 1) not enough cash 2) takes a very rare occurrence for me to pay full/near-full price for a used instrument I've seen them sell here and on ebay in the $2500-3500 range. The market isn't strong enough for one to bring $4500...example: there is a 96 collectors factory second thats been on ebay for months and hasn't brought $600 yet. That's a fantastic guitar.

Find an excellent example and go for it. If the cost is reasonable or a bargain, all the better, but to me, filling the hole with the right model would be more important. Good luck, and show us a big photo spread when you've got it finished (or even now for that matter).

I've seen a few that would fit (90' natural slim, 98, etc) but I really want the next big hit to go into the 08. There's a 2010 limited on craigslist for $2kish, but I haven't heard anyone rave the same as they do on the 08. Plus I've never owned an Adamas. Pic coming soon

They are limited editions and are much more rare than possibly any Collector's Edition. The 08 is definitely one of the most unusual collectors because it was an Adamas and I thought at the time that it might be a signal of the end of the line. I got the 2010 because I thought it was the end of the line, but then they did a limited edition in 2011. If you're interested in a 2010, Al had one last I knew and would probably give you a better deal than the one on ebay.

Maybe it actually came out in 2012. Anyway, it looks like a great guitar and, since I prefer a center sound hole and deep bowl, I probably would prefer it over the 2010, but the list price was considerably higher and I already had the 2010.
