Location: Chicago | Jeff and I were playing plugged-in today and suddenly my new Adamas 47 RI prototype began to go "in" and "out" of full volume. It is not my amp, the battery, "stereo" jack confusion or a bad cord. Don't know WHAT it is. What I mean by "out" is this: suddenly the volume will drop way down and sound tinny and distant. I can crank the volume and EQ it a bit, but it still is hollow and weak. Then, suddenly the sound will snap back to "perfect health." I detect a slight bit of "scratch" in the tone knob, but that does not make the guitar go "in" and "out". Nor does tweaking the cord at the input jack. Any ideas? Does this sound like something that's happened to you with an old school Adamas? |

Location: Tennessee | Have you checked the wiring at the pickup and the preamp? Could be a loose connection? |

Location: Chicago | It looks OK, but I probably need to be more thorough... Get a mirror etc. Thanks Bobbo. |

| Could be a bad connection. Could be the preamp going out internally. I would suspect parts that move, like the volume control potentiometer or the jack before that.
