Then you could sell the old bridge to someone who has none. I haven't seen anyone making the cover or offering it by itself. Later UKIIs have an all-metal bridge with no cover. -Steve W.

On a UKII it might leave a hole in the back since there's no tilt adjustment on the newer bridge. Does the UKII you're looking at have a pickguard? If it's an early version it might have had one.

While I never did ask the reason, they stopped putting on the pickguards at an early point in the run, but the bodies were already done. I have seen many/most where there is a pin-hole that would have been the starter hole for the screw, but it's still just a pin hole, never having been used.

There is a shallow indentation where the metal hardware pressed into the urelite surrounding the hole on the bottom of the lower bout. I'd love to find an appropriate pickguard to return the instrument to its former glory.
