Location: Mid-Atlantic coast USA | Just sold my mint 1984 Washburn Woodstock Studio A guitar, had it since it was essentially new.
In 28 years, one small ding in it.
Great guitar, great action, great 'plugged in sound', really low unplugged volume and thin tone.
I've been playing my acoustic a lot since I had a grandson, evenings on the patio playing and singing for him are a regular thing.
I wanted somthing with a lot more punch and low end.
I also wanted something I wasn't afraid to take outside without needing a towel or blanket to lay it on (like the Washburn)
I have always like Ovations sine my band used a 257 back in the 90's
But I knew I wanted more volume.
So I went with a an Elite T 2078TX.
Got the 'rhino liner' finish, the deep contour back, case, and gig bag for just a $100 more than I got for the Washburn.
Now I am waiting .. waiting .. waiting .. and having to use an electric and the wireless rig through the window.
Should be here Tuesday. |

Jammed with it, had it used by friends bands at gigs and on albums, some sentimental value there.
But now, the focus is playing, and playing outside, so the added punch will be welcome.
I believe these necks are also very 'electric like' in their profile, so the action should be the same or better. |
