Granted, Charlie was the impetus for the whole thing (and correct me if I'm wrong Bill, but I don't think he was a major "fan" of Rock&Roll), and Bill was pretty much instrumental in giving these guitars a "rock persona" and getting them into the right hands (albeit 30 years ago).
Not to mention Bill pioneered cowboy boots in the rock world with his annual picture of his boots. I think there may have been a guitar in the ads, too. |
