| Hi folks! I'm new on this forum so let me introduce myself. I live in France and I'm the happy owner of ten Ovation guitars. I love these guitars and I think it's a shame that Fender stopped the production. The last one I purchased from Tokyo is a 1995 longneck Elite. And finally, in spite of an interesting price, it was not a good affair as the guitar suffered from flight conditions and arrived with a lot of cracks on the top, and a dead tuner on the optima preamp. I brought it to my luthier who said that it was not possible to remake the varnish, because the epaulets are impossible to take off. He just stopped the scratches with polyester but they are still visible. I'm looking for the optima preamp service manual or schematic. I've found one on the web but it seems that the page 3 of 4 is missing, an important one with the Eq, FET... So any help would be greatly appreciated, and advices on how to attenuate the top scratches also! Thanks to all posters Pierre  | |||
