Location: Huntington Beach, California | I have been looking for an older custom legend and came across a model number 1569-1. I cannot seem to find anything about this model on the net. The ovation website only indicates it was made for one year, I believe 1984.
Does anyone know about this model? Why only one year? How does it sound and play?
Thanks |

Location: Phoenix AZ | It's a supershallow bowl custom legend, after the first year they changed the model number to 1869-1. Dave |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I've only played a couple of shallow bowl Custom Legends and I didn't think they sounded anywhere close to the deep bowls. They just sounded small. I have a deep bowl bias. I like to hear a full bass. |

| My 1869, while sounding sweet, doesn't compare in volume or sustain to my deep bowl 1617. |

Location: closely held secret | Depends on whether you prefer to play acoustic or plugged in. The shallow bowl Legends sound awesome plugged in, but low frequencies are weak on the acoustic side. |
