Someone gifted this early low end aluminum neck to me .
Reminiscent of my first applause which the 1132-4 pre-dates.
Thought maybe you folks could weigh in on this one.
Gonna be a beach guitar, I tend to go thicker and more tensile if the neck is up to it.

If you can nail the born on date, that is cool, also.

I'm guessing 1977-79

It all depends on the condition of the guitar vs the tone you want.
As far as my understanding goes... New Ovations ship out with 12-53 gauge strings.
After 37 years, that may or may-not apply.
