Location: south east Michigan | No Ovation headstock?.... it's not a Breadwinner....and it's certainly not a re-issue of a Breadwinner.... it's a knock-off to be purchased by those who don't know any better.

Location: Jet City | The shape of the body is the only thing similar to a Breadwinner/Deacon. They had no interest in reissuing a classic instrument. Eastwood was after a cheap easy buck. They've bastardized several other iconic guitars as well. |

Location: Western Sonoma County | <p>I've always wondered why the BW's iconic shape didn't spawn more knockoffs. Certainly it's as recognizable as a Les Paul, SG, Strat, or Tele -- the most-imitated and cloned guitars out there. The BW shape is smart, the Ovation approach to sound was innovative and, well, sound. All of which to say that I don't begrudge Eastwood their knockoff. Yes, it's a bit ham-fisted, but most copies are. The shape's a little off, the neck not as nice, but in the broader interpretation, it's a BW. Perhaps the newly-invigorated Ovation will take a trip in the way-back machine and knock itself off. Wouldn't that be cool?</p>
