Hi,
I have an old Ovation classical that I thought if anyone could ID it would be you guys.
My dad used to fly for Charlie back in the late 60's early 70's and he gave him a couple of guitars, unfortunately
I sold one in my teens(52 now). My dad passed in 75 (plane crash) and I have had it since.
The guitar has no serial or model designation. Looks like there may have been a paper label at one time...not sure. I have noticed things on it that are unlike others I have seen. Like a differently shaped bridge and inlaid rosette.
It's a deep gloss bowl and plays and sound great.

Thanks for any and all responses.

Welcome Dave,

Looks like an old Model 3... or K1113

A very early one.

Thank you for your response Damon. It has, always had a haze on one section of the rosette. Maybe it was a blemish? I had never seen one exactly like it so I wasn't sure if it was a one-off that didn't go into production and Charlie gave it to my dad.

Dave, I've updated your status to full member. Feel free to go ask questions and post pictures in the main sections. There are some very knowledgeable people over there that can't post in the "welcome" area.
