Going by the subject line, this may indeed sound like an odd request. But I need the help of a more knowledgable player than I am.
Thing is, for my Cat Stevens Guitar Tab fan project site, I'm in the midst of transcribing one of Cat Stevens' classic acoustic songs, namely "If I Laugh" from his album Teaser and the Firecat (1971). And that song is played in Open E tuning. And so I'm stuck figuring out two rather transitional chords in that song. It's all about the exact chord shape Cat Stevens is using to play over the F#m7 and C#m7 harmonics. Here is a video of the original performance with the timestamp set to the chords that I need: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqVtmIVD9xc&t=3m7s. Here is what the tablature would look like and the missing pieces I'm trying to figure out:
Going by the original performance (see video), my suspicion is that, for the chords in question, he's playing something like F#5 (222xxx) or F#5sus4 (2223xx) and C#m7/G# (420000) respectively. What do you guys think? Any Open E players out there, please step up!
