Location: 6 String Ranch | First was Medallion 1975, which changed to Matrix 77-78. Applause was 76 along with the Adamas. Academy didnt come till later, 79ish. I went to Korea in March 1982 and picked the factory. Applause started there in late 82, and the first celebrities in 83. By then Moosup was shutting down so the Matrix, academy and all the rest stopped. Adams moved to New Hartford, Balladeers and legends were made in North Carolina till 85 then to NH.
There were also the Balladeer specials, rosewood fb on a Foam neck, probably 80-81.
UK2 were 78-82 and dropped when Moosup shutdown.
that's a pretty good timetable, maybe a little fuzzy, it's been a long time..... |

ALL of them?? Even the ones with the label, "Made in Connecticut USA"??
::edit::
wait.. or did you mean "standard" Balladeers and Legends in North Carolina.. but "custom" Balladeers and Legends in New Hartford before 1985?

Location: When?? | Thanks for your reply, Bill. This is very interesting in that it is opening a whole new element of Ovation history for me since I never knew there was a North Carolina facility at all. Where in NC was it located?? |
