  | I own one of these Guitars and have for quite some time.
However, mine is slightly different than any others i've seen.
Here's the dilemma that I am seeking answers for:

Every feature about my guitar and everything I read and see about this model suggest mine is a Celebrity "Deluxe".
However, the label inside does not say Deluxe, just Celebrity and model number.
The odd thing is inlaid in the 12th fret, is the word "Limited", which I have not found on any other Ovation I've looked at.

Could this be a "tweener" model maybe produced between the regular Celebrity and the Deluxe editions or what ?

Any input would be greatly appreciated....Thx |

Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | There are Celebrity's that say "limited" and "collectors" on the 12th fret.
Marketing spoo. They are still Celebrity guitars.
I also thought that a "Celebrity" had a center hole and a "Celebrity Deluxe" had epaulets.
OR... One was made in China, and one was made in Korea.

Anyway... Only a few members can respond in the "Welcome Center", and I don't know the answer.
So, You have been "upgraded" and you may post elsewhere in the Ovation FanClub.
I would recommend "general posting" or "about my guitar".

Welcome.

  | Thx Arthur....Good to know.
I was not aware of the marketing schemes so that may be the deal.
I guess what threw me was when I search the CS257, more often than not, it was identified as a Deluxe.
Appreciate the feedback. |
