Location: SE Michigan | In all seriousness, I don't dispute that Monster makes a high quality cable, I actually own a couple of them. I also recognise the importance of high quality cables. I just think it is plain silly to claim that a cable is "tuned" to a paticular instrument. Ohms is Ohms. Impedance is Impedance. Frequency responce is frequency response. Anything else is total horse feathers and marketing hype.
Also, I can provide my custom cables in 250 foot lengths, there will be an extra charge of $10 per foot plus extra shipping. Email me if you still want one. |

Location: Arizona | I've always kept cables sorted by which key they work best with. In other words, if you're playing in C then you pick the C cable, when you change to G you stop and swap in the G cable. What's really cool is when you substitute cables tuned for relative minors and then play in the major key...it can add some very nice presence to the piece.
BTW, I have the equipment to tune cables like this but it's pretty labor intensive so they're expensive. The effects are definitely worth it, though. Once you've used my hand-tuned cables you'll never waste money on that Monster marketing-hype crap again.*
*Of course, you'll probably never send ME money again, either, but that's a secondary effect... |
