Different looking Legend on ebay. They are listing it as a rare early legend model 1119. It does look different than any others I have seen. Is the desription accurate?

Yup. That's a first year custom legend. I don't know about the label being gold color to improve acoustics. Although that same technique was used for the white inside hatch door paint on elites. Anyway looks like a nice guitar and I bet it sounds wonderful. Dave

And the seller is one of our own...this listed guitar is the basis for what was produced in 2004-the anniversary model of the Custom Legend...see the advertisement:

It's nearly identical to my 1619-4 made in -75, but mine has pickup and preamp. And yes, it sounds lovely, I was hooked after strumming the first chord twenty years ago!

Curious; I have a friend who is totally into everything Paul of the Fab fame. I will look on the internet, but does someone have a site where I can find photos and information specifically about this Legend his wife got for him or any Ovation guitars Paul used??
Thanks ahead of time
Randy

Samova and Jerome seem to know a lot about Paul's instruments. Dave
