Hey gang. I'm thinking of starting a local acoustic guitar club over here and thought a forum like this one would be a good communication tool.

Could some of you log on to my trial forum and put up a few posts (either legible or non-sensical - your choice) and make any suggestions you feel necessary.

I've asked my family to test drive, but I'm afraid they're not too clued up on forum use.

I'll be deleting all the entries soon. I'm really just looking for suggestions and improvements. (And playing with my newfound administrator powers. )

Hey Miles. It's easier than I thought :D

Thanks BJM and Grif :)

Lanaki, I should've known you'd take the non-sensical route :D

no problems at all, good job on it muzza. I have twice as many posts as lanaki, I should take a picture, probably the only time it will ever happen. :)

I like the layout a LOT. If I was ever going to design a forum that's exactly how I'd do it. Very clean, modern, easy to navigate and everything seems to work flawlessly. VERY NICE JOB !!!

Noah, you are one CRUEL dude.

Thanks for the support and comments gang.

For those of you that are interested, the forum as you see it is pretty much 'out of the box' from phpbb. I had no hand in the design of the 'style', just the content.

At the end of the week, after we've all had a good play, I'm deleting all the posts and members, then I'll put the word out to start it proper. I'll keep you informed of its progress, or you can pop in occasionally to check. (you'll have to register again) I'm pretty certain I've got the admin under control, now I've just got to get the content right, and find some members. (Australian ones that actually live on the Sunshine Coast!) Designing a logo will be on the agenda in the near future as well.

Feel free to play around with my forum some more, but don't forget the OFC forum, where the idea sprang (sprung  ?) from. (Yeah... as if!)

Offer your new members a high-res photo of Nikki.

If that does not work, offer the high-res photo which will be taken after the guitar sells!

World first - video footage of the Sunshine Coast Acoustic Music Club's American chapter.

Thanks again for the support everyone. Pity it will all be condemned forever to cyber history at the end of the week.

And out of nowhere, Schroeder (member #19) hits second top post count, only 1 behind the forum founder.

He's even ahead of Lanaki AND Jason... COMBINED ! ! !

Yeah, Schroed, I'm workin on the member number thing. Number 1 on my hit list. I've got a few people on different forum forums (no, I'm not stuttering) working on it for me.

Sorry it's not yet idiot proof. I wasn't expecting any idiots to post so soon. :D :D

I just thought of another title for the movie above;
Freddie and the French Fries - 10 Years On!

So you advertised it on the OFC but you weren't expecting idiots to visit

It's very cool software and very fast. You were obviously born to play god.

Man I am such a dinosaur...... I really am amazed at what you can do with the internet I wish I had a better understanding of how to use it better.
Very impressive, how cool is it to communicate with another continent in seconds. Keep it up and running mate.....and when the ebay chatter gets out-a-hand you can Crack Down!

How cool is that!

The site looks good Muzz....even a technophobe like myself was able to easily navigate my way around. I wish I was a bit closer to the sunshine coast.
