| Hi all you ovation deacon (breadwinner)fans out there.
I purchased an ovation deacon 12string some weeks ago. I love it cause of its outstanding sound.
There is one thing that I have a problem with : it makes rattling noises at some string frequences. I already checked the tuners, battery case and all the switches. Can anyone give me advice by own exprience, what could be the reason for the rattling noise ?
Best Regards

They are nice guitars. |

Location: Utah | I had a rattle in the pickup system on my electric. It was in the plastic frame around the pickup. Twisting the mounting screws and the pickup height adjustment screws (not the pole pieces within the pickup) a tad seemed to cure it.
It is also possible that it is a wire inside. Also, it could be buzzing on the nut or the saddle if the slots are messed up. |

| Hi FlySig,
if it's a wire inside, how then to loose the volume/treble knobs. There is no screw on the side of the knobs. Can they be pulled off without damaging anything ? Who is Jefferson ?
Best Regards

My Breadwinner's metal backplate has a tendancy to come loose and rattle. It's an older version (plain metal, no insignias/writing) and the body's been stripped so it may sit looser than in a stock guitar.
