I'm still trying to decide whether to drive or fly and whether I could squeeze in an extra day on either end. Any of you guys going to be around so I could try out some of those guitars? We have driving events and banquets Sunday through Thursday, but might be able to sneak over if someone is not too far from the Town and Country resort.

If any of your peers have to take the Repeat Offender Traffic Program, we even have one Monday and Tuesday (2nd & 3rd). I am sure we have some San Diego lurkers...the Orange County and Los Angeles group need to come on down. If you have an hour, then coffee; a couple of hours, dinner; more time, guitars and maybe pizza.

Effective multi-tasking is one thing but before you know it the lines will start to blur. You'll start looking at one of those old "bathtub" Porsches and wonder what it would look like covered with bowl paint. Caution dude.... caution.

I have a meeting that finishes up around noon in Upland and a flight out of LAX at 10 pm. If any of the LA area guys are available for a free dinner - let me know.

I have a meeting Saturday morning, June 30 and have to be down there by Sunday afternoon. I only have one speeding ticket, for doing 26 back in about 1972, but I might be pushing my luck on the way down.

Great little showroom of a lot of rare and exotic cars for sale. Well worth a 30 minute diversion. I'd like to get over to Croce's Hammer down through Nevada. Remember, they gotta catch you to write the ticket. ;)

The back trunk isn't quite big enough for an Ovation case and the front trunk is deep, but not wide enough. Last year the 1537 was my passenger on the trip to Portland and I left it with Waskel so my wife could ride back. She has a plane ticket for the way back from San Diego. She thinks the drive is a little too far for her. I can do 1000 miles a day without much problem, but I've never done it overnight. Realistically, I can't fit any guitars on the way back unless they are the same ones I take down. I was talking to Tony about bringing back a 30th CL, but I picked up a blem already. The OFC has to be the last for awhile.

I think she has forgotten about the CL you tried to get her to buy me for Christmas, though. She refused to enter Dave's house, probably for fear of me trying to use him as a model. I suspect she will avoid any contact with any of the Ovation nuts down there. We'll be with a bunch of Porsche nuts, but she doesn't have a problem with getting a new Porsche, as long as I get rid of the old one. It must be the concept of being a collector that bothers her.
