There a note that Chineese fake guitars are showing up.

Thanks - an informative review. An eBay post designed to save eBay idiots from themselves. It'll never work. ;)

I have been fortunate and have purchased 2 Ovations on ebay.

My advice is this.

(First of all I am Not An Expert.)

1. Read the description VERY carefully.
2. Ask questions.
3. Check sellers feedback.
4. Repeat the first 3 steps.

Lastly, if it sounds to good to be true. DON'T BID.

LOL ... I learned to play on a fake Gibson J-45. Based on looks alone, one can easily be fooled for the real thing. It had the trapezoid-shape inlays on the frets, and even the Gibson logo on the headstock. Material-wise, it was obvious that it was a piece of garbage made to look nice. Soundwise, it was a piece of crap!!

On a serious note, thanks for sharing the valuable info ... hopefully, that'll keep others from being scammed.
