If you go to about 2 1/2 minutes into this video (altho' the whole thing is great), you'll hear the very first time I ever heard a 1537 acoustically. I was blown away by the tone and resolved to find one (pre-ebay). It took me 5 more years....

All right, Paul... reluctantly... I gotta give ya credit for being able to distill to a single moment, when it was you realized what your dream guitar was...

Wow, does that bring back some memories. I still think about and miss John everyday. All those late night jam sessions with John, Benny Martin, Roy Huskey, Jr.; and to think they are all gone now. Just a nice morbid reflection on a Sunday morning...Back In The Goodle Days.

As I've said before, my 1537 is still the loudest and sweetest-sounding axe I own. Thanks to Moody for getting me into that gassy deal, too. I mean that with all my fa...whoops...heart.

Does Mr. Campbell still have that 1537?

As the cranky Hank Snow said one time, "I hate banjers and thems(sic) that play them."

He does have a point!
