Location: Cherry Hill, NJ | Something in the input jack of my CL1619 is loose, because whenever I move, I get that cracking noise from my amp. My jack is ok. It happens from the mono input, which is the only one I use. I'm getting ready to take the strings off and reach down in there, but then what? Anyone ever have to correct this problem? |

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ | Yes, I know its not the jack cable, as it happens with all my cables. The same cables work fine on my other guitars. |

Make sure the jack shields are tight at the preamp.
Also change the battery. |

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ | Well I took the strings off and got my arm inside and felt for anything loose. Nothing. I got some electronic contact cleaner and sprayed the jack inserts clean, and bingo, no more cracking noise. 2 things to becareful about.
Do not get this contact cleaner on the guitar finish. I covered the top with paper. Also, the Ovation rossete comes loose, when sticking my big arm inside the bowl. I had to glue it back down. |
