Not really. I bought a G&L ASAT Junior and it arrived tonight! All mahogany semi-hollow body, mahogany neck, ebony board, MFD pups. Looks like what you'd get if a Junior and a Telecaster got drunk and spent the night together. But, it's light, the fit and finish are flawless and it sounds awesome!

UPS dropped it off just as we were heading out for the evening, so I didn't get a chance to even open it up until an hour ago. All I can say is, 'Woohoo!'

Oh, and you MartAylor guys aren't the only ones who can post non-O kit here. ;)

I've never played G&L's...but I've always wanted to try out the ones with those Z pickups. Seem wild.

So what colour is it? Nice move to go for the ebony board. What is an ASAT Junior - solid/semi/humbuckers? Never seen one.
G&L have great quality control - they are to Fender what PRS is to Gibson. They show that you can make a lot of guitars and keep the quality high.

Have fun.

No Z coils here. It's a transparent red over mahogany. I'll take some pics tonight and put them up somewhere.

Junior is a limited edition (run of 250) that G&L did because so many people think the MFD pickup is really a P90 (it's not). Here is a link to a page on the GuitarsByLeo.com site that talks about them. It's a semi-hollowbody with no f-hole.

I've always thought of G&L as the 'Hamer' of the Fender world. ;)

Umm Crusty, the reason for a PM is to...

KEEP IT PRIVATE!

Sheesh.
