Location: 6 String Ranch | As a rule I don't like Carvin stuff but this is interesting, mostly because it's so old. There seem to be a lot of Bigsby influences in the design. |

What dontcha like about Carvin? I've never played a Carvin, but their catalogs arrive at my doorstep all the time. Nice lookin' stuff, and I was under the impression that they were generally higher grade guitars. Not my first choice, but seem like a good choice.
What do I know?
Woud love to hear your opinion in more detail.

Location: SoCal | Can't speak about their electrics, but in a local Carvin store I played one of their thin body acoustic electric nylon strings and loved it (plugged in of course). Very good instrument. I think it ran about $800. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | Al covered it, Not as bad as a Taylor but close. There is nothing bad about them, they just do nothing for me. Most of their guitars are SGish and I don't like SGs. The quality of their production is just fine, just as boring as a card game at a rest home.
Also their stuff is budget priced. Even at that you'll probably never get all your money back out. If it says F or G on the peghead or amp you'll come alot closer to recouping what you spent. That's all. |
