Location: south east Michigan | The best Les Paul I every played was a Les Paul copy. I think it was a "Univox". I can't beleive I don't remember the name for sure. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | Go to the 1980's. That's when the distribution guys had this copy line, back when you could get cheep copies from Japan. (also back then the distribution guys didn't sell Ovation and Hamer wasn't in the picture) I think the name made the switch to Korea but died shortly thereafter. When it got to when you could get a Taco Tele or Ghandi Strat for $200, or an Eppi Paul for the same the no-name brands are dead.
Which would you want, a POS that says Mako or Fender?
I think this one is overpriced. |

Location: Warren, OH | I used to have a Univox Les Paul - the one on e-bay looks a lot like it. The head is different, but most of the plastic trim looks the same. I'd know the Treble/Rhythm selector switch plate anywhere!
Wonder if these guys supplied Univox or something like that? |
