Joined: February 2004 Posts: 2487 | Holy crap! I have a blank made out of Maple that I have the Map drawn out on and I made a headstock shaped like Alaska and the volume & tone knobs shaped like the islands of Hawaii! I figured I could splice the headstock onto a nice fender or Gibson neck? I figured once it was cut out, my stock would not weigh much more than a standard body. So many projects going it will take me a few years to get it out from under the bench. I thought it would look good to paint it with the flag pattern and Red White & Blue , extending the red & white stipes into the headstock? Randy

Frankly they never make Florida big enough (like male statues) particularly when you consider what a crucial role the state had in salvaging the first election (that's for you Cliff!) Anyway, back to this guitar, they suck. They're uncomfortable and usually don't hang right from the strap. They do look good on a wall, especially the ones with a rebel flag painted on them. See them alot down here and remember, Gibson was the guitar of choice for most of the southern rock bands.
