The Glen Campbell CD that Paul Moody mentioned is really good. It features some of GC's best recorded guitar work in years! Other personl favorites are; "Phil Spector's Christmas Album," Chet Atkins "Tennesee Christmas," Joe Pass "Six String Santa," and Vince Guraldi's "Charlie Brown Christmas."

Another Festivus Miracle!

One of the very early (it might be the second one) Windham Hill "Solstice" albums has a track of Michael Hedges playing "Bach's Cello Concerto" on a Dyer harp-guitar. In one passage, he plays this descending bass line that, just when you think it CAN'T possibly go any lower . . . he hits this note that'll just turn even the best speaker cone to an elephant phart . . . .

It's almost inconceiveable that a note like that can come out of an acoustic guitar.

The series of albums are a BIT "NewAge-y", but they ARE a bit of a departure from the usual "Jingle-Jingle" or "Holy/Holy" faire . . .

Brian Setzer did a tour this time last year playing all the Boogie Woogie Christmas tunes (along with other selected BS and Stray Cats songs). It was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

My first choice is a great Leon Redbone Christmas CD. But I can't recall the name. Christmas on Turtle Island?
