I have a confusing situation with my guitar. I bought it several years ago in a pawn shop ... and having just found this website, I thought it would be interesting to find out a little bit about my guitar (e.g. how old it is ... what model/type it is, etc.)

Well ... the stickers inside my guitar indicate that the "serial number" is: 197743

Another sticker says that the model is: "CC68 -- made in Korea"

Looking at the info on: http://www.ovationfanclub.com/ .....

The model number guide is only accurate for guitars made in the USA. So ... I guess it doesn't cover my 197743 serial number?

The site does mention in the "price guide" that the CC68 model was sold between the years of 1987 and 1994 ... so that narrows it down some.

I'm guessing that this is a standard Ovation Celebrity.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for any help you can lend.

Have a good night.

Yes, the website only covers serial #'s for USA Ovations. Other than that I can't help you, although someone else here may be able to. Welcome to the board :)

It is a deep bowl Celebrity model. That's about all there is to it.
