How rare are limiteds. I have one made in 1981. I have only seen one other and it was from 1981 also.

D League,

You do indeed have one of the "least available" Ovations out there. In the last 3 months there was a lot said about this one. Use the search feature and you will come up with a few plumbs for sure!

Posting pictures in the gallery is a sure fire way to elicit groans and oohs from the OFC Brothers and Sisters.

It is the limited posted by Caymon on the gallary. It looks like a modified deacon or breadwinner. I'll bet there are a lot of clowns out there that would be willing to buy it for less than $100

I think the last one on Fleabay went around $1000.
Must have mistyped a zero or something.

Thanks for answering my question so frankly. I take it you just don't like the limited. It does look strange but it plays every bit as smoothly as my viper which plays even better than my Gibson Les Paul. I am glad I joined the forum. You have made me feel very welcome. :)

Actually I do like the Limited. I think it was the peak of the Deacon-like design before they made the decision to get out of the Solid(unappreciated)body business.

Of of the posters in this string had actually redesigned it as an attempt to be accepted! The Public just wasn't ready for it. It was ahead of its time.

I think a bunch of us were just trying to use up our quota of sarcasm before we had to visit the In-Laws for the Holidays.

You need to post pictures!

Great site, love those Deacons and Breadwinners.

dleegblue

As the owner of a Viper that I bought new, and the kick myself in the tail stupid idiot that could have bought a Deacon cheap at that time, welcome, and gaurd your limited as there are charlatans here that deal from the bottom of the deck.

Bottom of the deck and out of their sleeves and from their socks.

Keep your hands on the table boys just because a new fellow joined the game Mr Hickok will be watching you, and you know who you are.
