Is that true?? Ovation will not even acknowledge making these?

I like that body routing and the way the headstock has the natural color and is routed as well. That attracted me to that White six banger Ultra I just bought?

I don't think it's so much that they don't asknowledge is that only a few people even remember them. They are a cool bass by the way. The ones with the Kahler trems will tear houses down.

And what a strange starting bid price of $430.
Wonder what the significance of that is.

Part of the early 80's Ultra "Hard Body" series that included the GP & GS guitars. They're pretty good basses but generally go for a lot less than he's asking. This one has a Schaller bridge, the Kahler versions, as Miles said are very cool. Strange thing is, I've seen the Kahler vibrato bridges alone go for more than the Kahler-equipped versions of these basses ever have.

So if you call Ovation about this Bass They will say something like........... "If you mention this bass is an Ovation in public, Ovation will disavow any of your actions and any knowledge of this basses exsistence" ": And your bass case will self destruct in five seconds Mr. Phelps!

I just thought it was humorus he used the description "Ovation does not Acknowledge" ??

Cool Bass a Little high though?

Samgak bodies and US assembled. Good bass, perhaps even better than the guitars. My gut says that should be the ending bid, not the start.

In a clever move, the seller has lowered the starting price by $11.00 but added the $11.00 to his fixed rate shipping charge.

What a deal!

47.00 shipping or 54.20 if you want it insured? That must be one heavy bass....

Nice tune LoJoe.

Does your congregation put out music CD's each year or is this something that you did on your own?

Thanks!

So far that is our one and only CD. We made it last year to include in our outreach packages. Those are plastic bags that contain an overview of our church, a "meet the staff" section, and a free CD so they can hear our music. The outreach teams leave them on doorknobs in the neighborhoods they visit. We spent two days in the studio at Lamon Records working on the CD. Walk By Faith is my favorite that we do because both the band and the congregation have a hard time keeping still. Not that we try too hard.

Recording in a real studio was way too much fun. I played bass on all of the tracks. The guitar work was done by our worship leader Dave Moody. I'm sorry to say that he's strictly a Guild man. Still one hail of a guitar player though.
